Kylie Gwin, LCSW
I chose The Mindful Groove as the name for this practice because it is exactly what I hope to help people with-mindfully, carefully, compassionately coming back to their center, and with that welcoming in a new rhythm of life. I specialize in working with people who have experienced the loss of trust or autonomy in themselves and relationships, often times due to experiences that were-and are-beyond their control. These early life experiences can knock us off of our path and onto someone else’s-someone else’s expectations of us, judgements of us, and ultimately their framework for who we should be.
The most satisfying part of working with people is beginning to see them unfold; getting to watch as you start to connect back to the parts of you that were harmed or changed or were abandoned in order to survive. And then giving those parts the space to grow, shine, and flourish. Sometimes this looks like us laughing together, sometimes it may look like us crying-but the end result is always the same: creating a space for you to uncover YOU and beginning a loving, life long relationship with yourself <3 I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a relationship, clear and simple, and view my role as creating the safest and most trusting connection possible to help you thrive.
